Pauline Post is sinds 2002 vaste pianiste van het Schönberg Ensemble, nu het Asko/Schönberg. Met het Asko/Schönberg en andere ensembles als het Nieuw Ensemble en Insomnio speelt zij al 25 jaar op festivals in China, de VS, Korea, Japan, Australië, Indonesië, Europa en Zuid-Afrika.
In 2020 voerde zij net voor de lockdown het beruchte solowerk ‘Shiraz’ van Claude Vivier uit in concerten in het Muziekgebouw IJ en Tivoli Vredenburg. Tussen 2002 en 2020 speelde zij de Pianoconcerten van een groot aantal componisten: Répons van Pierre Boulez op het Festival Acht Brücken in Keulen en het Boulez Festival in Tivoli Vredenburg; Grand Pianola Music van John Adams en Aubade van Francis Poulenc met het Asko/Schönberg, en het Piano/Saxofoon concert van Maarten van Norden met het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest in de Zaterdagmatinee; Petite Symfonie Concertante van Frank Martin met Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Pianoconcerten van Klaas de Vries, Hans Abrahamsen, Robin de Raaff, György Kurtág (tevens het Dubbelconcert voor cello en piano), Alban Berg (Kammerkonzert) , Roque Rivas, Eonta van Yannis Xenakis en Des Canyons aux Étoiles, Trois Petits Liturgies van Olivier Messiaen, alle met het Schönberg Ensemble o.l.v Reinbert de Leeuw. Uitvoeringen vonden plaats o.a. in het HOLLAND FESTIVAL, de serie Tijdgenoten in het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, November Music en concerten in het Muziekgebouw aan t IJ, Tivoli Vredenburg, De Doelen en Paradiso. Met Reinbert de Leeuw speelde zij Visions de l’Amen voor 2 piano’s van Olivier Messiaen.
Tijdens de Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik 2012 speelde zij twee Pianoconcerten achter elkaar: haar favoriete Pianoconcert van Hans Abrahamsen en de première van ‘Gesualdo’ van Marko Nicodijevic.
Pauline Post is artistiek leider en pianiste van ensemble SeaSession, een kamermuziek-ensemble wat o.a. voorstellingen maakt i.s.m acteurs. Zij bedacht en produceerde de succesvolle voorstelling CIRCUS CHARMS, die momenteel toert door Nederland.
Met Nora Mulder vormde zij 15 jaar lang ‘pianoduo Post&Mulder’. Een groot aantal componisten schreef op uitnodiging voor het duo. Pianoduo Post & Mulder produceerde de theatrale muziekserie ‘De Nieuwe Kollektie’, de kameropera ‘Het Monster met de Twee Ruggen’, en de theatervoorstelling ‘Caprichos-Desastres’, en speelde Poulencs Dubbelconcert bij het Radio Symfonie Orkest. Het duo bracht 2 CD’s uit met voor hen geschreven werken.
Als vaste pianiste speelde zij in Combustion Chamber en in het tangokwartet Rosa Rio, en heeft meerder CD’s uitgebracht met deze ensembles. Zij speelt regelmatig in orkesten, m.n. het Radio Filharmonisch Orkes
Pauline Post studied piano at the Utrechts Conservatory with Thom Bollen, Alwin Bär and Hakon Austbø.
Since 2002 she’s the regular pianist of the Schönberg Ensemble of conductor Reinbert de Leeuw, now the Asko/Schoönberg. With this Ensemble she performs in Holland and abroad, in about 40 concerts a year, and participates in numerous CD recordings, TV- and radio broadcastings. In 2010 in the Asko/Schoönberg played concerts in the Walt Disney Hall, L.A., and in Carnegie Hall, NYC. She played with the Schönberg Ensemble, the New Ensemble, Percussion Group The Hague, Combustion Chamber, the Volharding and Insomnio on Festivals throughout Europe, China, Korea, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, South-Africa and the United States.
As a soloist she played during the last 12 years with the Schönberg Ensemble the Pianoconcerts of Alban Berg (Kammerkonzert), Olivier Messiaen (Des Canyons aux Étoiles, Trois Petits Liturgies), Francis Poulenc (Aubade), Hans Abrahamsen, Xenakis (Eonta), John Adams (Grand Pianola Music), Boulez (Solo Piano 1 in Répons), Klaas de Vries; Roque Rivas, György Kurtág (Quasi una fantasia, Concert for cello and piano), Robin de Raaff, Marco Nicodijevic, and together with Reinbert de Leeuw ‘Visions de l’Amen’ by Francis Poulenc.
Together with Nora Mulder she founded in 1996 ‘pianoduo Post & Mulder’. The duo is specialised in 20th century and contemporary music with a theatrical element. The succesfull duo has premiered about 30 compositions and has initiated its own projects.
Pauline Post is also the regular pianist of SeaSession, and of the tango-kwartet Rosa Rio.
